Strategic Aerostats Common Applications
Airborne Industries’ largest system measures from 23m (850m³ ). This system is most often used for observation and monitoring of a wide area around operations and major events, where security and control is paramount. Strategic Aerostats can carry multiple payloads including radar, optical payloads and a broad range of listening, locating and jamming devices for extended range and durations. Strategic systems usually include Payload Specialists and operators among their crews of up to six. The Ground Handling Systems needed for this range have sophisticated requirements. Airborne Industries will design an optimal solution for a customers’ needs.
All Airborne Industries Tethered Aerostat Systems are tailored to the end users requirements including payload capacity, desired nominal altitudes and flight duration. The experienced team at Airborne are available to advise the end user about suitable payloads to meet their systems objectives. The systems payloads are fully integrated by the Airborne Team ensuring flight stability and reliability and ensuring the safety of the required payload.
The Right Aerostat For Your Mission
There are three ranges of Tethered Aerostat available from Airborne Industries including the Strategic Systems manufactured by Airborne Industries. The Tactical Aerostat system, measuring up to 15m (210m³), is the smallest in the range and the fastest to deploy. Operational Aerostats are the mid-range size of Airborne’s Aerostats, measuring between 19m – 22m (400m³ – 650m³). Operational Aerostats most common applications are delivering high quality military optics and specialist devices rapidly.
